RANDLETT, Oklahoma — The Big Pasture FFA Chapter packed shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child during National Collection Week Nov. 18-22.
FFA members in agricultural education classes packed a total of 22 shoeboxes for children around the world. The shoeboxes were filled with clothes, toys, school and art supplies, and personal care items for children 2 to 14 years old.
“I felt good gathering supplies because I felt like I was helping people in need,” said Bryan Smith, a sophomore at Big Pasture High School and member of the Big Pasture FFA.
Katelyn Laminack and Miya White, Big Pasture seniors and FFA officers, delivered the shoeboxes at First Baptist Church in Burkburnett, Texas.
“Delivering the boxes made me feel grateful for what I have, and it felt good to help the less fortunate,” Laminack said.
