John 14: 2 & 3 says: “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (KJV).

God’s purpose from all eternity is to prepare a family to indwell the kingdom of God. Jeremiah 29: 11 says: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (KJV).

God’s plotting for our good. In all the setbacks, He is ordaining the best for our future. Every event of our day is designed to draw us toward our God and our destiny. When some people consider you of little value and throw you in the pit, so to speak, God can use it for good. When family members sell you out, God will recycle the pain. Falsely accused? Utterly abandoned? Y ou may stumble but you will not fall, God will be there to catch you. You will get through whatever it is causing your troubles. Not because you are strong, but because God is. Not because you are big, but because God is. Not because you’re good, but because God is. He has a place prepared for you!

You know the cross is the universal symbol of Christianity. Isn’t it strange that a tool of torture would come to embody a movement of hope. It is designed couldn’t be simpler.

One beam horizontal - the other vertical. One reaches out like God’s love. The other reaches up, as does God’s holiness. One represents the width of His love; the other the height of His holiness. The cross is the intersection. The cross is where God forgave His children without lowering His standards. God treated His Son as a sinner, so that Christ could make us acceptable to God. Why would He do it? The answer is John 3: 16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (KJV).

Remember, He is preparing a place for you.
