Democrats Celebrate Historic Win

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Democratic Party celebrates President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris’s historic win:

“The American people have made their voices heard for democracy and to build back the soul of our nation for the better. Now is the time for unity and a time to begin the healing,” stated Alicia Andrews, Oklahoma Democratic Party Chair. “This victory is a referendum on the past four years, but we must put our differences aside, start working together, unite our country, and focus on governing our nation for every American citizen, not only a select few.”

“President-Elect Joe Biden made history winning the most votes of any presidential candidate in history. The glass ceiling is broken — we elected our first woman and woman of color to the White House, Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris. What a time to celebrate in our country.

“I am confident that President-Elect Biden and Vice President-Elect Harris will begin the hard work of healing our country on day one. It’s time to restore relationships with foreign leaders, tackle a virus that has killed one too many Americans, and build back our economy.
