Robert Neal Brown

It is with great sadness that the Brown family announced the sudden passing of Robert Neal Brown, 72, Walters, Oklahoma. Robert was born on October 31, 1945, to Houston and Beatrice Brown in Chico, TX. He grew up in the Bowie area and attended Bowie schools. From a young age Robert developed a passion for fishing and loved hosting fish fries for family and friends. He never met a stranger and enjoyed long conversations with friends. Robert worked in the oilfield, on farms, in dairies, in road and bridge construction and he drove trucks. He had many skills and a strong work ethic. His hobbies in later years included restoring old boats, building trailers, growing vegetables in his garden—and, of course, fishing. But perhaps most important to him, he was a prayerful man of faith. Every day started and ended with prayer and he thanked the Lord before every meal. He and his wife Linda of 22 years loved taking trips together— especially to Branson, Mo.
