Burial in the Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters. Wanda Mae (McLendon) Harmon was born to Carl Thomas and Stella Alberta (Kreamer) McLendon on March 13, 1944 in Wickenburg, AZ and departed this life in Walters, OK on August 2, 2018 at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 20 days. Wanda grew up in Arizona and New Mexico, moving around with her dad’s mining job. She left Silver City, NM in 1961 with a friend, moving to Chickasha, OK. Wanda eventually made her home at Guymon, OK. She married L.M. Harris at Liberal, KS in 1966 and to the union a daughter, La Fonda, was born. She later married Kermit Keith Harmon, Jr. on February 1, 1982 and lived in Lawton until moving to Medicine Park where they lived until making their home at Walters in 1987. She was employed at Warehouse Foods in Temple, Circle S, Happy Stop and EZ Go in Walters. Wanda enjoyed watching investigation and discovery shows on TV, going to the casino and loved animals. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Walters. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Harmon in 2015; her parents, Carl and Stella McLendon; 2 sisters, Betty McCarver of Tahlequah and Helen Stone of Guymon; sister-in-law, Mary Chason and husband Tub of Georgia; brothers-in-law, “Terry” Bayer of Land O’Lakes, FL, Glynn Harmon of Guymon, OK and Keith Dann of Geneva, FL. Survivors include a daughter, La Fonda Limón who left her home in Guymon, OK to care for her mom; a sister, Bonnie Bayer of Land O’Lakes, FL; 4 sisters-in-law, Clara and husband Ray Lagesse of Macon, GA, Edith Harmon of Guymon, Gwen Kitch of Yellville, AR, Beth and husband Jimmy Boyd of Bainbridge, GA and Era of Geneva, FL; 3 grandchildren, Leron-Mitchell Limón and wife Sarah of Pryor, OK, Airreaun-Ahnna (Limón) Fowler and husband Ryan of Oklahoma City, OK, Tyler Limón Perkins of Oklahoma City, OK; 6 great grandchildren, Amilya Limón and Noah Limón of Pryor, Jon-Davis Fowler, Gabriella Fowler and unborn twin Fowler sisters of Oklahoma City; 4 step-great grandchildren, twins Braden and Brooklyn Simpson, Braxton Simpson all of Locust Grove, OK and Bentley Sheets of Pryor; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
