Marion Alva Wright, 87, passed away Monday at Valir Rehab Hospital in OKC. He was born February 4, 1927 in Spanish Fort, TX to Johnnie and Bessie Wright, the eldest of 7 children. He served in the Army during WWII. After the war, he was employed at General Dynamics in Fort Worth, TX as an aircraft mechanic. He married Nora Evelene Moorman on June 30, 1951. They lived in Walters, OK, 1963, where he was employed as a Fire Chief and then
later as a letter carrier at the USPS. In 1973, they moved to Bethany, OK where he retired from the USPS in 1992. After retirement, he volunteered at the Red Cross and loved to go fishing. He was preceded in death by his son, David C. Wright; brother, Rev. William Wright; and sister, Naomi Washburn. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Nora Evelene Wright; daughters, Darlene Neff (Henry), Jean Davis (Stanley), Connie Wright, and Mary Heath; two granddaughters, Chasity and Carisma Ausby; brothers and sisters, Robert Wright, Elmo Wright, Avinell Ray, and Nina Henderson.
