Jim was born on September 23, 1962 in Weymouth, Mass. to Richard and Carol (Iacobucci) Hollinshead and went home to be with his Lord on April 30, 2014 in Hurricane, WV. As a child Jim moved with his family to CA, MISS and TX, attending schools in the Houston area. In 1979 he married Tammy Rose and to this union two sons were born, James Anthony and Christopher Thomas. Jim earned his degree in Welding from San Jacinto
College in 1980 and in HVAC from Sam Houston College in  1985. In 1988 Jim attended technical school to train as a mechanic. He was able to fulfill his life’s dream of owning his own business and opened his shop, Wheel Deals, in Stafford, TX following graduation. He also attended the National Security Academy in Houston, TX in 2001 to attain his certification as a Security Guard. He proudly served and protected many businesses and  individuals in the Houston area from 2001-2005. In addition to serving in security Jim also worked part-time as a printing assistant, landscaper and pet sitter. He always said that his most important job in life was in raising his boys with love and laughter. Jim was extremely proud of his sons.  As a result of Hurricane Rita, Jim, his son Chris and his beloved Bull Mastiff, Shadow, moved from Galveston, TX to Walters, OK in 2005. Jim worked at several mechanic shops in the area until he was able to open JAH Automotive on East Colorado Street in Walters in Nov. 2007. He owned and operated JAH with his son Chris and his Aunt Alice Hollinshead until his battle with colon cancer forced the closure in May of 2012. Jim had a true passion for helping those in need, often spending long hours repairing vehicles at little to no cost to the customer, often providing parts at no cost as well. He often expressed his appreciation for the citizens of Walters for welcoming him and patronizing JAH. Jim had a great love for God and spoke often of his desire to “go home and rest in the arms of the Lord.” Jim is survived by his two sons: James and Chris, of Hurricane, WV. His father, Richard Hollinshead and wife, Joyce, of Duncan, OK. His mother, Carol Hollinshead of Houston, TX. A brother, Richard W. Hollinshead, of Walters. Two sisters, Darlene Hollinshead Yepes and husband, Rick, of Alvin, TX.Margie Hollinshead Perry and husband, Burl, of Friendswood, TX. Aunt  Elise and Uncle Bert Coffman, of Perkins, OK. Uncle Robert Hollinshead and Donald Cross, of Florida. Uncle Richard Iacobucci of Mass. Three nephews, Richard Hollinshead, Nicholas Yepes and Matthew Yepes. Two nieces, Amanda Hollinshead and Serena Perry. A very special cousin, Tom Hollinshead and wife Dianna, of Walters. Jim was especially fond of his cousin Aryonna Hollinshead of Walters and her brother, Thomas...as well as many cousins and friends. He will be especially missed by close friends, Little Willy, of TX, Mike Henderson and Kelly Burk, of Frederick, OK,  mitty, Aileen, Beth, Kimmie, and Mr. Yacheshi of Walters and Kathy  Johnson of WV, as well as his ever present companion, his dog, Heather. Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Emeline Hollinshead, Anthony and Francis Iacobucci, and his beloved dog and companion of 14 years, Shadow, who was waiting to greet him at the Rainbow Bridge. There will be no funeral services, as Jim donated his body to a medical science research facility in WV. The family is planning a memorial service at a later date. Jim requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society and the Humane Society.
