Frank Fielding

Frank Fielding, 72, of Waurika Lake, passed away April 25, 2014 at his home with loved ones by his side. Franklin Dee Fielding was born on September 30, 1941 in Chattanooga, Oklahoma to Earl William and Lannia Ellen
(Cagle) Fielding. He grew up in the Corum area and attended Walters Public Schools. He married Alice Jean Calfy on May 24, 1961 and to this union 4 children were born. He was a jack-of-all-trades and specialized in the construction and mechanical fields to include operating and repairing heavy machinery. He enjoyed spending time with loved ones, fishing and playing guitar, bass and fiddle. He couldn’t resist catfish dinners provided by Scooter Bivins and his family. Frank was a man who was true to his word and would help anyone in need without any expectations of return. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters: Stella Blalock, Edna Hartmann and Judy Stapp; 1 brother: Earl Fielding. He is survived by the love of his life, Jean, of the home; 2 daughters: Teresa McMenamin and companion Jay Hutsell of Waurkia Lake and Melinda Randell of Ft. Worth, Texas; 2 sons: Franklin Jr. (Butch) of Eastern Oklahoma and Clint Fielding of Duncan; 2 sisters: Pearl Phelps of Waurika Lake and Rosemary Davis of Lake Arrowhead. His twin brother Virgil Fielding of Temple; 5 Grandchildren: Jeromy McMenamin, Christina Valdez, Tessa Hooper, Austin Penn and Ashlie Fielding; 7 Great-Grandchildren: Brittanni McMenamin, Kalen Valdez, Jayden Hooper, Justin McMemanin, Sierra Hooper, Aliyah Fielding and Braylee Briscoe. Many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. To honor his request, no service will be held. A family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be  made in his honor to Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters
