Kyle Cabelka, Cotton County District Attorney, working for the State of Oklahoma, filed a Petition/ Application For Removal Of Office for the removal of Micah “Mike” Woods from his position of Cotton County Commissioner. . The state requested Woods be “immediately suspended from office pending the investigation and conclusion of the trial of this matter, be removed from office for oppression in office, be removed from office for corruption in office, be removed from office for willful maladministration, and that this matter be set for the first day of the Court’s next available date of jury docket.”

Mr. Woods was accused of corruption in office, after he reportedly had county employees build campaign signs for his re-election. Woods has been charged with a felony count of embezzlement in this matter.

The request for removal asks he be suspended from office, and the court date for the jury trial in the matter has been set for April 1, 2024, according to county records.
