Letters to the Editor

Readers are welcome to e-mail, fax, bring, or mail the letter to our office. There is a general limit of 300 words. Letters must be signed and include the author's name, address, and phone number. The phone number will not be published. Letters should address issues of general interest in the Cotton County area and not contain any form of slander.

Announcements

Church events and anniversary announcements are considered ads and the charge is according to size. Events submitted after the event date are considered news and are free. Engagement announcements with pictures are $32.00. Wedding pictures after the event are free. Birth announcements are charged according to size of box.

Articles for Publication

E-mail the copy of the article, or bring or mail it to our office. There is no charge for running articles and photos of news events, community events, club events, church events, etc. and will be run as space allows. We encourage you to include photos with the article. Some articles are considered advertising.

Photos

We're looking for all sorts of photos — people, events, wildlife, anything! Visiting another state or country? Great hunting or fishing photo? E-mail them to us and we'll run them as space allows. There is no charge.

Obituaries

Obituaries are accepted from funeral homes and family. The funeral home in charge of the arrangements usually handles the request. In county, a photo is free to include. Out of county, there is a $25 charge.
